Ballet Flats Made For Walking

If I could, I would wear high heels all hours around the clock.  They just increase the cuteness factor of any outfit.  Given the choice, I am dress up as opposed to dress down.  But such is life that wearing stilettos is a masochistic affair, where one truly suffers for fashion.  Pain is love!

Thank goodness the fashion gods sent us ballet flats which are essential to any fashionistah’s repertoire of footwear.  Alternating flats and high heels is the only way to achieve balance (aka avoid limping and keeling over from pain).  They remind me of a beatnik Audrey Hepburn in the 1957 film Funny Face dancing in the smoky bars and Paris streets with Fred Astaire.

Smooth Moves: Audrey works a forward lean in her flats with a dahling little man.

Here are my choices for ‘dressed up’ versions.  While your outfit may say casual chic, your tootsies will be saying, “look at me! look at me!”

I feel the pain, but feel short and dumpy in flats and I’m not even short at 5’10!!

I agree!!! The heels literally kill my feet, I think feet too deserve rest in a while . I got the Steve madden’s gold flats exact the one on this page and they look soooo awesome, and without killing my feet I am all set to dazzle… <3 love them
